A Scholar Reminisces…
An appreciation of the Sixth Lubavitcher Rebbe

Attend a scholarly appreciation of the Sixth Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Joseph I. Schneersohn (1880-1950) delivered by the renowned American Jewish scholar and leader Rabbi Arthur Hertzberg Ph.D.   Rabbi Hertzberg, who personally met with the Rebbe in the 1940’s presents Rabbi Schneersohn as a pivotal figure in recent Jewish history who bridged the European/American divide and planted the seeds of successful Chassidic life in the new world.

Rabbi Hertzberg is the acclaimed author of 11 books, and served as president of the American Jewish Policy Foundation and the American Jewish Congress, and vice president of the World Jewish Congress. He graduated Johns Hopkins in 1940, and was conferred Doctor of Humane Letters, honoris causa, from Johns Hopkins in 2005. Rabbi Hertzberg is a Trustee of the Chabad House at Johns Hopkins.

Bedouin Life in Israel…

Born and raised in the Galilee of Israel, Ishmael Khaldi speaks about his family, his upbringing and his adult life in the Jewish state. While Israel is constantly attacked for being racist towards non-Jews, Ishmael describes the many advantages minorities in Israel enjoy compared to the surrounding countries in the Middle East.

Shmurah MatzahDon’t Pass Over Passover!

This year, celebrate the Exodus and true freedom the traditional way. Sell your “chometz” (non-Passover food items), receive a complimentary hand-baked shmurah matzoh and holiday guide, and/or join a Passover seder. Please contact us for more information or help.

Make certain to sell your “chometz” before April 12. Passover begins at nightfall April 12 through nightfall April 20.
