How Does A Match Campaign Work?
Running an operation like Chabad at Johns Hopkins requires a major investment of time, energy, and capital. While we work tirelessly to ensure that no Jew is left behind, the day-to-day expenses of operating the Chabad House can be daunting. Rather than charging membership fees or exorbitant event prices, which could alienate students and community members, we rely on the generosity of the community, friends, and alumni. To that end, Chabad at Hopkins' longtime friends and benefactors Richard (JHU '55) and Rae Swirnow, and the Charles Crane Family Foundation (in grateful appreciation to its director Shale D. Stiller, Esq.) have challenged us to help Chabad thrive. They will match up to $25,000 every dollar donated to Chabad at Johns Hopkins by our friends and community, during the next 41 hours only. During this end-of-year 41 hour campaign only, every dollar will have twice the impact!
